Justin was raised in Owensboro, Kentucky. He received his undergraduate degree from Georgetown College (Georgetown, Kentucky), where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He received his medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine (Louisville, Kentucky) and then completed his residency at the University of Louisville Affiliated Hospitals (Kosair Children’s Hospital which is now called Norton Children’s Hospital and University Hospital). After residency, Justin served as both a private practice and hospital-based pediatrician for over four years in Henderson, Kentucky, before returning to Louisville. Prior to joining Norton Children’s Medical Group - Brownsboro in September 2018, he served as a pediatric hospitalist at Norton Women’s and Children’s Hospital, first with Norton Medical Group (Sept. 1, 2014 to Dec. 31, 2017) and later on faculty as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Louisville School of Medicine (Jan, 1, 2018 to Aug. 31, 2018).
He is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Justin enjoys building relationships with families as they navigate the ups and downs of childhood. He believes every child has a story to tell and education about illness prevention is as important as any treatment plan. He is an active member of the Kentucky Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics. When not taking care of patients, he can be found with his wife chasing after their daughter.
