In a single-vehicle collision early on Saturday morning, an Athens man perished.
According to ALEA, Dylan McMahan, 21, was driving a 2008 GMC Sierra pickup when it veered off the road, flipped over, and hit a tree.
The authorities declared McMahan deceased at the scene.

On Brownsferry Road in Limestone County, two miles south of Athens, the collision occurred around 12:45 a.m. on Saturday.
The crash is still under investigation, according to ALEA.
