Electrical engineer and billionaire businessman Jen-Hsun “Jensen” Huang was born in Taiwan on February 17, 1963. He co-founded and is the current president and CEO of Nvidia Corporation.

Taiwan’s Tainan is where Huang was born. When he was nine years old, his family immigrated to the country. They initially settled in Oneida, Kentucky, before moving to Oregon, where he attended Aloha High School, which is located just outside of Portland.

Huang earned his electrical engineering undergraduate degree from Oregon State University in 1984 and his electrical engineering master’s degree from Stanford University in 1992.

Jensen Huang is of Taiwanese ethnicity. He is also not publicly known to be affiliated with any particular religion. However, he has said that he is “spiritual” and that he believes in “the power of the human spirit.”

Huang gave his alma mater Oregon State University, $50 million in 2022 as part of a $200 million gift towards the establishment of a supercomputing institution on campus.
For the construction of the Jen-Hsun Huang School of Engineering Center at Stanford University, Huang donated $30 million.
